The new high-performance class in laser triangulation

Der schnellste Lasersensor mit voller Performance

The optoNCDT 5500 from Micro-Epsilon has received a significant performance boost: With a measuring rate of 150 kHz over the full measuring range, it is the fastest laser sensor in its class. At the same time, the optoNCDT 5500 delivers maximum precision, repeatability of just 8 nm, and ambient light resistance of up to 200,000 lux – the best values in this sensor class.

Full speed over the entire measuring range
The decisive advantage lies in the combination of maximum dynamics and unrestricted measurement performance. While high measuring rates are available only with a reduced measuring range in many applications, the optoNCDT 5500 delivers its full speed over the entire operating range. Users therefore benefit from extremely fast measurement values, high process reliability, and maximum flexibility in demanding inline and automation tasks.

Higher precision and improved ambient light resistance
In addition to the increased measuring rate, precision has also been further optimized. Improved repeatability of < 8 nm ensures reliable measurement results even in high-precision applications. At the same time, new algorithms enable the optoNCDT 5500 to achieve ambient light resistance of up to 200,000 lux – the best value in this sensor class. As a result, the sensor remains stable even in strong ambient light and delivers reliable measurement results.

New measuring range expands application possibilities
A new 50 mm measuring range expands the optoNCDT 5500 portfolio, which now includes models with measuring ranges of 10, 25, 50, 100, and 200 mm. This enables the sensor to cover an even wider range of applications – from quality control and robotics to highly dynamic measurement tasks in modern automation environments. With this performance boost, the optoNCDT 5500 combines maximum speed, precision, and robustness in a single sensor. Wherever fast processes must be monitored continuously and without compromise over the full measuring range, this laser sensor sets a new benchmark.
